Working Spot Guidelines: Dogs attending in working spots must meet the following criteria:
- Be comfortable in the training environment with unfamiliar people and dogs.
- Be comfortable in crate or X-Pen.
- Remain quiet, relaxed during lecture.
- Be highly motivated for treats in the workshop environment.
- Note: they may have fear, arousal or reactivity issues as long as they have not bitten people or dogs (due to liability issues) and can be relaxed enough to work in the workshop environment while other dogs are in the room but kenneled.
- Owners will need to bring:
- A variety of bite-sized treats that are easy to deliver, one at a time. You may also use kibble (if that’s what you generally use for training).
- A bait bag/treat bag.
- 6 foot leather or nylon leash, or hands free Buddy System leash.
- Dogs should be on a flat collar, front-clip harness, or gentle leader head collar.
- Water for your dogs.
- Elimination bags
- Towel or mat (optional) – flooring at facility is linoleum.
