Doggy Play Groups and Socials

Socialization is a life-long process that involves ongoing exposure to different experiences. Our Doggy Play Groups and Socials help encourage social behavior by introducing dogs of all ages (Puppy, Adolescent, and Adult) to new situations and interactions in a safe and relaxed environment. And while it’s essential to encourage your dog to explore the world, it is also important to socialize and exercise your dog for mental and physical health.

If your dog longs to chase, play, or just hang out with other dogs, then our beautiful and functional dog studio is the place to do it. We are on-hand to supervise and give you insight into different doggy behaviors, so you can enjoy the show from the sidelines. Keeping your dog active while developing your dog’s social graces will also help strengthen your bond. Not to mention, it’s great to take a tired and happy dog home.

Please see Policy and Guidelines for eligibility requirements.

Puppy Play Groups: For all puppies 10 to 20 weeks old. Small dogs up to 20 pounds and 10 months may join in with this group. Dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered for off leash adventures.

Puppies learn by exploring their environments and by being exposed to new stimuli – including people and other dogs. While it is important to introduce your puppy to new situations and encourage social behavior, it is also important to provide positive and pleasant experiences that won’t overwhelm and stress out your dog. Puppy Play Groups help you raise a well-adjusted and healthy dog by providing a safe and relaxed environment for your young pup to socialize and play. Your puppy will burn energy while learning how to make friends and investigating new sights, sounds, and smells. The positive experiences that your puppy has during this critical socialization period will have a long-lasting influence on your dog’s developing confidence and sociable temperament.

Adolescent Socials: For dogs 20 weeks to 10 months old and 26 pounds or more. Dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered for off leash adventures.

Your dog’s social training does not end at puppyhood. While early socialization is important, teenage dogs still need to explore and have new interactions with people and dogs. Your dog’s behavior is still developing, so it is essential to provide safe and pleasant outlets for your dog to exercise and socialize. Exposing your dog to positive situations will help your dog develop good associations with the world and build confidence. Plus, Adolescent Socials are a great place for your dog to run, chase, and play!

Adult Small Dog Socials: For dogs 10 months and older, up to 20 pounds. Dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered for off leash adventures.

It is important to continue to socialize your dog well into adulthood. This means that your dog will never be too old to stop benefiting from new experiences and interactions. And the more positive associations your dog has with the surrounding world, the more confident your dog will be in different situations – including interacting with new people and other dogs. Plus, Adult Doggy Socials provide the perfect opportunity for your dog to burn energy, get off-leash exercise, and be around other dogs in a safe and relaxing environment. Keeping your dog well socialized helps your dog remain healthy and happy, while enhancing the quality of life for both of you.
