Feisty Fido

Designed for the willful and spirited dog that needs dedicated guidance and direction when on leash, this course will help you manage your “feisty fido” while rehabilitating your dog’s relationship with the everyday world.

This class focuses on empowering you with a better understanding of the dynamic nature of your dog so you can effectively identify conditions that arouse concern, uncertainty, and frustration, and help your dog build the confidence to overcome challenging situations.

The goal of this class is to change your dog’s perception of the world—including people and other dogs. By helping your dog develop good associations with the surrounding environment, you can modify “feisty” on-leash habits like barking, lunging, and other behaviors that may appear to be aggressive.

Identifying the conditions that are likely to cause your dog to act defensive, fearful, or just plain irritable, will enable you to help your dog develop a happy relationship with your daily surroundings.

And by rehabilitating your dog’s relationship with the world, you will be consequently enhancing your relationship with one another.

Humans Only Orientation

The first session in each of our group classes (except for Pooch Tutor Time) is just for owners. This “humans only” orientation is mandatory for all new students and is designed to give you a head start on your own education so that you can get the most out of your classroom time with your dog.

In this session you will learn important techniques that will prepare both you and your dog to feel less stress and more confidence—and ready for success when you enter the classroom together.
